When I came out of the military it was tough for me to find a full-time job. By working with veterans organizations and helping that transition from full time military to civilian, I know that JLL is the company for me. My name is Sean Smith, I’m a Senior Chief Engineer with JLL, I’m a retired member of the U.S. Air Force. And along with Russell Brooks, we both work together as part of the Veterans Hiring Program here at JLL. JLL is a corporate real estate company. They touch pretty much all over the United States, international, and domestic. Like our country, JLL has been around for over 200 years, and we take pride in that. There’s so many resources within JLL that you never feel like you’re alone, or you’re trying to manage a building or fix something on your own. That’s the cornerstone of it. I truly believe that JLL puts their employees first, and that means a lot to me. And if I can bring someone else on board, they’ll experience the same things I experienced. The traits that make great military members make great employees. Leadership, resourcefulness, and confidence – these are the traits we use every day at JLL. We love what we do; if we didn’t love it we wouldn’t do it. JLL offers the tools and the platforms to help be successful, and that’s what I truly value – I love that. There’s different opportunities for you to advance yourself, whether it be on your own time at your own pace with an online item, or to sit in a classroom and actually get trained by an instructor who works in your field. JLL definitely invests in their employees and wants them to be better.
